Refund, Transfer, & Cancellation Policies
Once you have registered for an event, we do not issue refunds. If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, feel free to come to packet pickup, pick up any race swag, cheer others on, and say hi! Your entry can be transferred to someone else or participants may change class/distance (4-person to 2-person, 10K to 5K, etc.) up to 2 weeks before race day (with a $15 transfer fee). With changes, entry or swag is not guaranteed. No refunds/credits will be given in the event of transfers or changes. Changes must be made online or requested via email: email@example.com.
The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened. As the race company, we reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns. In the event the race is canceled, no refunds or credits will be provided. In the event a participant cannot attend a rescheduled date, no refunds or credits will be provided.
Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Because of this, we take a very minimal approach to collecting information from you. We do not save any credit card information on our servers, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone.
The Information We Collect
On our site you can browse for event information and then you can register yourself or someone else at a third party website for an event. You can also sign up to receive periodic updates via email. We may collect information about you including but not limited to: Name, Address, E-mail Address, Phone Number, Date of Birth, and Gender (Collectively "Personal Information"). Your Personal Information is stored in a database at our web hosting provider and also on Google servers. We do not collect credit card information. Any credit card transactions are processed by a PCI-compliant 3rd party. We also collect information through cookies and tracking pixels embedded into the web site.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide for updates via email newsletters and remarketing campaigns through other channels like AdRoll and Facebook. Any marketing emails will provide an option for you to opt out of receiving future marketing emails.
By visiting this web site or providing personal information, that information may be used for retargeting. Retargeting is a form of online targeted advertising by which online advertising is targeted to consumers based on their previous Internet actions You may opt out of retargeting by visiting this link.
