What a fantastic weekend! The ground was moist and muddy but the weather was finally awesome. Thank you all for coming out and racing with us. We hope you had a great time running and biking around Shenandoah River State Park. We sure did. We also really appreciate you going with the flow (see what we did there?) regarding the need to cancel the paddle portion. We’ll try again next year!
We have the results posted here:
We believe most the standings in each category are accurate, but we still have some cleaning up to do. Please just let us know if you see something that needs adjusting.
Bushnell Photography was on site taking some great shots! You can find some teaser pics on our Facebook page to keep you going while they are busy combing through the photos. Once the full gallery is available, we will post the link on our Facebook page and send it you in an another email.
We had a lot of wonderful support this weekend from local businesses. We’d like to thank Downriver Canoe Company for letting us park ourselves there all day, Bob at the Bike Stop of Warrenton for being on hand for any bike needs, John from Warren County EMS for being there “just in case,” Out There packs and Appalachian Outdoor Readiness & Essentials for providing packs for the half-marathon overall winners, Merrell for the sunscreen swag, Po’ Green’s for cooking up the post-race BBQ, and the Bushnell family for spending the whole day taking great shots of you doing what you love. And a huge thank you to all our volunteers--we couldn't do it without you.
If you had fun, tell your friends, share your photos, blog about it, feature it in your holiday cards, and name drop whenever you get a chance because we'd love for this event to grow. And if you’d like to be a trailblazer once again, join us at the inaugural Trail Mix on Sept, 17, 2016 at Willowsford. The Trail Mix will have a similar set up to the Shenanduro, with 5K, 10K, and half marathon trail runs and a 3- and 6-hour MTB race. Learn more here. As an alum, use code SHENANDURO for 15% off.
We are always looking for ways to improve our events and welcome any feedback you have to offer. Please take a few minutes to complete the post-race survey here. Also, if you had a nice time with us, please consider giving us a positive review on our Facebook page to spread the fun. As always, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org any time with questions, comments, concerns, or tips!
Once again thanks for supporting Rev3 Adventure and putting your faith in us and this inaugural event. Hope to see you all soon!
