18th Annual Festival of Leaves 5K
October 15, 2017

Join us at the Festival of Leaves 5K during one of the most spectacular times of the year in Front Royal! Whether this is your hometown or you're dropping in as a leaf peeper, you'll have a great time on this fun 5K course, with the Shenandoah Mountains and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River as the backdrop for stunning fall foliage.
Proceeds from the race go to support the Warren Heritage Society, the founder of the Festival of Leaves 5K and Front Royal/Warren County community's historical society, museum, and archives. It was established as a nonprofit organization in 1971, and the Warren Heritage Society has held the Shenandoah Valley's Festival of Leaves ever since.
Make a weekend of it! Warm up with the 47th Annual Festival of Leaves on Saturday, October 8, enjoying the parade and the historical displays, arts and craft vendors, live entertainment, a children’s area, tours of historic homes, living history interpretations, and food concessions on East Main Street. For more information about the festival, call the Warren Heritage Society office at (540) 636-1446 or visit www.warrenheritagesociety.org.
The area has so much to offer, from running a fab race (we also offer a 10K or half marathon), to attending the Festival of Leaves, to hiking or canoeing, to dining at a local eatery, to visiting a winery. Visit Front Royal Tourism for tips on making the most of your visit, or check out our Activities Guide. It's chock full of places to eat and things to do while you're here!
