Being Bartram Strong means something different to every participant. Maybe you're feeling Strong because you're ready to nail the navigation, or it's your first 12-hour AR, or you love riding trails but want to take it up a notch. Maybe it's your first solo race, or perhaps you've assembled a dream team. Whatever your reason to prove you're Strong, we get it and we're ready to make it happen at the Bartram Wildwood Strong on October 16.
You'll be racing where William Bartram, America's first native-born explorer and naturalist, started his 220-mile journey in the 1770s to record the region's animal and plant life. It's kinda cool to follow his exploratory lead 220 years later. Especially with the bonus of Goretex, Body Glide, and Gatorade.
Be ready to paddle on the lake, mountain bike on some sweet trails and fire roads, and trek through gorgeous pine forests using basic navigation skills. This peach of a race on some of the best trails in Georgia is perfect for anyone who can read a trail map and wants to experience some excellent outdoor activities on a crisp fall day.
Thanks to Columbia County, Georgia for their generous support of the 2016 Wildwood Adventure Weekend, including the USARA National Championship and Bartram Wildwood Strong and Tenderfoot!
